Offered for sale is a rare surviving all steel Plymouth Roadster in a two-tone Red/Maroon exterior with all steel Black fenders. It features Plymouth’s four cylinder engine and is accompanied by a three speed manual transmission. These Plymouth Roadsters made their debut in April of 1932 with a production run lasting only eight months. With its raised cowl and 6.5 inch raked windshield, it was advertised as having “The smoothness of an eight, with the economy of a four.” For its time, it was loaded with engineering innovations such as “Floating Power" engine mounts, full-pressure lubrication and aluminum alloy pistons. This Plymouth’s one piece all steel body has a rich patina and is structurally solid. The convertible top, along with its wooden framing is in nice condition. Newer whitewall tires show well and adorn the original Plymouth wire wheels. The engine is currently not running and will require repairs.
This is by far one of the best looking roadsters of the early 1930's and well worthy of being revived. Finding honest and correct examples like this one is getting harder to come by. The Last Detail has always had an appreciation for nice historically correct cars. We only buy and sell what we ourselves personally would be interested in owning for our own collections. Stop by the North Shores premier vintage and collector car showroom, to see how complete this roadster is down to….. The Last Detail!
