Named after Enzo Ferraris birthplace and the home of his legendary company, the 360 Modena launched in July 1999 to members of the American motoring press and succeeded the highly regarded F355. The product of a four-year development cycle including over 5,000 hours of wind-tunnel testing alone, the 360 Modena delivered stunning 183-mph performance with its mid-mounted all-alloy, DOHC 3,586 cc V-8 engine bristling with race-proven wizardry. In 2000, the 360 Modena was also available for the first time with the lightning-quick, race-derived F1 6-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters for manual shifting as desired. The 360 Modena also silenced any lingering doubters by lapping Ferraris Fiorano test circuit some three seconds quicker than the outgoing F355 and even out-accelerating Porsches vaunted twin-turbo 959. Not only did the 360 Modena redefine Ferrari V-8 road cars at debut, it stands as one of the finest of all modern exotic cars today.
This stunning Fly Yellow 2000 Ferrari 360 Modena is a rare sunroof-equipped example that features the celebrated F1 gearbox. Just 23,147 miles have been accumulated at the time of listing, including only 4,000 miles under the current family ownership since 2013. It is now offered from a friend and client of The Last Detail and clearly benefits from attentive care under the current ownership and service by Continental Ferrari and the specialists at European Auto, both located in the Greater Chicago area. The Seller has invested in proper maintenance over their ownership. The battery was replaced recently and inspected by a lead Ferrari mechanic and found to be in excellent order all around. Additional items include installation of a front stone guard, Ferrari floor mats, an original 360 Modena tool kit, an original Ferrari flashlight, a factory sunroof cover, a car cover, and trickle-type battery charger. It is understood that very few sunroof-equipped cars were ever produced and as few as 22, with an estimated 9 imported to the United States. In addition to the fastidious maintenance it has received under the current ownership, this 360 Modena was awarded Best in Class at the 2013 edition of the Milwaukee Masterpiece Concours dElegance. While a prized possession, the owners priorities have changed and now is the time for this wonderful, low-mileage Ferrari supercar to be enjoyed and appreciated by a new owner. Contact us for full details and viewing arrangements today and get ready to enjoy this highly equipped Ferrari legend in the beautifully changing fall season!
