Need for Speed video game before its January 2016 premiere at Detroit's North American International Auto Show. Production of these highly anticipated performers commenced in October 2015 and first deliveries came in early 2016. Production commenced in March 2020 with just 2,200 examples planned for North America, Europe, Asia and Mexico. Improving on the engine powering the M2 Competition, the M2 CS utilized the engine management system from the M4 Competition, raising output of the S55 engine to 444 horsepower.
Performance credentials for the M2 CS includes 0-62 mph acceleration in just over 4.0 seconds. Braking is supplied by the M2 Competition system, including M Performance rotors and calipers.
