Following a total redesign for 2005, just in time to celebrate its 40
th anniversary in continuous production, Fords Mustang was poised for further success and growth with its classic 1960s-inspired styling and outstanding all-around performance. A newly redesigned Mustang body was released for 2011, delivering even more of a good thing with the 4.6L V-8 upsized to the iconic 5.0 size and the former 4.0L V-6 engine replaced by the sophisticated 305 HP, Lincoln-sourced DOHC 3.7L V-6 mill delivering nearly the same power output as the 4.6L V-8 of the prior years GT.
