Every once in a great while TLD has the opportunity to represent a truly impressive and unique automobile, such is the case with this “time capsule” 1978 Lincoln Mark V. The odometer reading of 2698 Original Miles is supported by extensive documentation. As part of a collection all of its life, it has been properly stored and maintained in a climate controlled environment to retain its factory new condition.

 Its flawless original Wedgewood Blue Paint and Wedgewood Blue Landau Top as well as all of the exterior chrome and trim are in “like new” condition. The Optional Body Color Rocker Panel Moldings along with the rubber impact strips on the bumpers are still soft and pliable with no fading or bleaching. The Factory Forged Aluminum Wheels show no sign of pitting or wear and the Dark Blue Factory Painted Pinstripes down the entire length of the car are a nice accent.

The Wedgewood Blue Leather interior still retains that “new car” leather smell. The leather is soft and comfortable. The highly appointed interior includes the optional Wedgewood Blue Luxury Group, Interior Light Group, Illuminated Entry System, Headlamp Convenience Group, Appearance Group, Defroster Group with Heated Side view Mirrors, Right-hand Remote Mirror, Tilt Wheel, Power Lock Convenience Group, Speed (Cruise) Control, Passenger Reclining Seat, AM/FM 8Track and Fuel Indicator (miles to empty).

Under the hood resides the factory ordered 7.5 Liter 460cui V8 equipped with the Factory Installed Dual Exhaust Option. The engine compartment has never been detailed or the undercarriage undercoated and they retain all of the original factory inspection hash markings, stamps and dated inspection tags. Cars such as these are invaluable to historic research and documentation.

Included with this car are its two owner history and all service records from both collectors. Original paperwork includes: The Original Window Sticker, Original Bill of Sale and the Original Title!! Other items include: the Original Consumer Information Sheet, Protect-O-Plate, Owner’s Manual, Warranty Information and all Service Records. It should be noted that the car has received the prominent Freeze Frame Award from the Bloomington Gold Survivor event in 2010 and we have also included a Deluxe Marti Report and Lincoln Mark V Authenticity Manual with the sale.
