Following on the sales success of the new full-size Cadillac models introduced for 1977, a significant sales increase for 1978 was based on the shoulders of the Coupe and Sedan de Ville. While positioned as Cadillacs entry-level models, the de Ville models were fully equipped with luxury features and elegant color combinations, delivering everything good in a Cadillac.
