This 1966 Pontiac GTO remains as born in its original color combination of a Cameo Ivory Exterior over a Red Vinyl Interior. Under the hood rests a potent 389cui V8 with Pontiacs Tri-power induction system and a 4 Speed making this nearly all original Goat truly the Pontiac Experience to drive.
The mostly all original paint is accented by a single Red painted pinstripe. The original exterior body panels and undercarriage look just as they did when it left the factory, its floor panels are in excellent shape and still retain the factory over-spray. The are no visible signs of rust anywhere on this well maintained and meticulously pampered automobile. This factory GTO features a single centered hood scoop, V shaped GTO emblems and Factory Rally 1 Wheels as part of the package. All of the exterior chrome and stainless are in excellent condition including the front and rear bumpers, window/side moldings, grills and headlight trim. The original Red Vinyl Interior and is in excellent shape. The dash features the Rally Gauge Package with Tachometer. The odometer reading of less than 89,000 miles is believed to be accurate. Factory equipped with bucket seats and a full length console, the interior also sports a AM/FM Radio with the Verbra-Phonic Speaker System that controls reverb and a rear speaker via a dash mounted switch. Carpeting, Headliner, Door Panels and Dash Pad are all in great shape. Mechanically, this car needs Nothing! Its 389 cui V8 engine is topped with the Tri-power intake and the correct Rochester 2 Barrel Carbs backed by a (M21) 4 Speed and 3:23 rear end. The carbs are setup perfectly. This car starts right up, shifts effortlessly into gear and responds to even the slightest tap of the accelerator. Maneuverability around town is effortless with the Optional Power Steering and the redline radials mounted on Pontiac Rally 1 Wheels that will break into a cloud of smoke at any stop light! This car starts, runs and drives just as it did when it left the factory.
This 66 Goat has just been thru an extensive TLD inspection, service and detailing.
