1961 Studebaker Hawk. Black with a stunning red interior, a fantastic color combination. This Hawk is in great original condition showing just 56k miles and has been the object of an older respray. It is a good, straight, very original car that has not been altered in any way. The interior dash chrome and gauges are in excellent condition, and the redone seats and door panels remain in good condition as well. Overall, this is a great, very original driver that will not disappoint. The Studebaker Silver Hawk was produced 1957-1959 and as simply the Hawk in 1960 and 1961. The Silver Hawk was the replacement for the two lower models in the four-model Hawk range. Both of these models were two-door pillared coupes in the US market and therefore, so was the Silver Hawk, which came in two differently-engined models, either the Champion six or the 289 cu. in. President V8 engine. Enter the Hawk and the first thing you will notice is its size compared to most cars of its era. It is efficient and well packaged, giving a much more modern feel than its larger contemporaries. Turn the key, and the engine quickly jumps to life. Visibility is excellent, and the car exudes a sportscar-like feel. Steering is quicker than most cars of its era, and the ride is very well balanced.
