The Buick Super had been a staple of the Buick lineup for many years, but received some big improvements for 1957. The Super and Roadmaster were Buicks were given unique roof treatments and a new C-body. The word 'SUPER' was spelled in block letters on the trunk. The '56R' 2-door hardtop also had seating for six and was the second most popular bodystyle in the Series 50 line-up. Additionally, a brand new 364ci V8 was introduced, offering improved performance. These were truly marvelous cars and have become highly sought after in modern times. This 57 Super is a stunning piece. Stepping into the classic interior, turning the key and starting the ignition brings the engine to life with surprising ease. It is out on the road, however, that this car shines most. The Dynaflow transmission, advanced for its time, keeps the power band in the right place, especially during highway cruise, and makes for a relaxed ride.
