Fred Wacker is a legend amongst racing enthusiasts alike. He was the founder and president of the Chicago region of the SCCA and later became national president. He won the 6 Hours of Sebring in 1950 and he raced at Le Mans over the next few years, and finished sixth at the 54 Italian Grand Prix at Monza, just 5 laps down from race winner Fangio!! He raced all types of different cars, from Jaguars and Allards, to Cunninghams and Arnolts, but he got his start in an MG TC back in 49.
