1948 Buick Super 8 Sedanette. A quality refinish in Desert Coral has recently been applied and interior has been redone stunningly in the original style gray mohair interior. This Super 2 Door Sedanette is in spectacular original condition. The body is extremely solid and straight, with good quality chrome and emblems all around. This car is equipped with the Fulton Visor, and the 2 way hood opens easily in both directions as well. Underneath, the solidness of the car is just as apparent as it is on the top side. Mechanically, this Super retains the original straight-8 248ci engine as well as 3-speed on the column, and the electrical system has been converted to 12 volts. Fresh tires, including the spare, have been recently installed as well, and this car has just been thoroughly serviced. All equipment including the clock, wipers, and blower motor have been reconditioned and are in excellent working order. This is a truly stunning and collectible example of beautiful late 40s Buick styling and automotive excellence. The Buick Super was a full-sized automobile produced from 1940-1942, and from 1946-1958; it was on Buick's longer wheelbase shared with the Roadmaster. The car is relatively quick, able to achieve speeds over 90 miles per. Models also came with an AM radio and the antenna could be adjusted via a round knob in the front center above the windshield. Front engine rear wheel drive beauties like this exist very rarely now, though the Super is still an excellent example of the ushering in of the '50s. Step into the Buick Super and the first thing you will note is the roominess of the interior, especially in the rear seating area. The mohair seats are luxurious and comfortable. Turn the key and press the start button; the engine almost instantly comes to life. Putting the Super to the road, the ride is as smooth as you would expect from the luxury marque, and it has no trouble keeping up with modern traffic.
