Recently discovered in long term storage, this exceptional 280SL has just been thoroughly inspected, and recommissioned for the road again! Refinished in its original livery of Anthracite Grey Metallic with fresh chrome accents as well. The laser straight exterior is complemented by the black interior with both matching soft and hard tops. Inward, the leather seats are complemented by rich wood grain trim work across the dash and console. Features include the optional, correct air conditioning and original Becker Europa radio.
The original 2.8 liter engine is backed by the four speed automatic transmission and accompanied by four wheel disc brakes and independent suspension. After initial inspection, all fluids were evacuated and replaced, along with filters, and gaskets. The complete brake system was replaced, including new calipers, rotors, lines, and the same goes for the fuel system too. Additionally, belts, bushings, and hoses were updated, and the heater and A/C systems were serviced as well. This car starts easily and shifts crisply through the gears with fingertip precise steering. Overall, this Pagoda runs as good as it looks and is ready for a new home.
