Finished in MG Red with a matching Red interior, this Rare MG A Deluxe is absolutely dazzling. Tasked with freshening up the rare car, the current owner spent a bunch of time and money to get the car to its current condition. Panel fit is correct and all doors shut correctly. Paintwork is near flawless as well as all britework, trim, and lenses. Inward, the Crimson hides, carpets, door and dash trim are all in excellent condition and complement the red exterior well. Smiths gauges are clean, clear, and operate as they should, as well as the period AM radio. Hidden behind the seats is a black convertible top also in nice condition.
After MG abandoned the Twin Cam line, leftover brakes, wheels, and suspension parts, were mated to the 1600 Mark II motor and the Deluxe was born. This car features the 1,622 cc Mark II motor that creates 90 horsepower and 97 pounds of torque and is backed by a 4 speed. Although not as quick as the Twin Cam, this standard engine was known to be quite reliable. At the time of restoration and the drivetrain was removed and rebuilt top to bottom. Driving the car is a pleasure with the 4 wheel disc brakes and suspension borrowed from the Twin Cam. It starts quickly, stops sharply, and draws a crowd easily.
This MG Deluxe is even rarer than its Twin Cam brethren. With limited build numbers and solid documentation, this investment grade MG is a sure bet. A through TLD detail has been performed to ensure that this car meets our strict standards so stop by our showroom to see how nice this 62 MGA Deluxe really is, down to The Last Detail!
