Presented in Dakota Red, with a contrasting white convertible top, this Biarritz also features the matching two tone interior. The styling of this Eldorado reflects the dominance of the Cadillac brand with imposing chrome bumpers, the prominent Cadillac emblems, gold grill work, and the Saber wheels wrapped in massive white walls. Completing the car is two stylish fins above beautifully trimmed taillights. Inside the cabin of this Caddy, youll find an interior that is fit for royalty. The use of chrome tastefully makes its way into the interior as the dashboard, dials, switches as well as Wonder Bar radio and fully operational barrel clock. The fit and finish lives up to the 1957 Cadillac slogan of Magnificent beyond All Expectations! Cadillac. Every element, from the beautiful upholstery to the seats and side panels, dash pad, carpeting, and steering wheel has a brand-new appearance with no defects, rips, or tears and showcases Cadillac at its best. This particular Eldorado is equipped with windshield washers, dual mirrors, power steering, power brakes, power convertible top, power seats and even a power trunk. Even the signal seeking radio, and Autronic eye, which was an early example of an automatic high-beam system found their way on the flagship Cadillac. In fact this Eldorado also comes with the parade boot option, allowing passengers to sit on the rear deck of the car.
Contributing to its rarity and value, the optional dual four-barrel carburetor setup which produces 325 horsepower, the most potent V-8 Cadillac had ever offered. The cars 365-cid V-8 mates to a Hydra-Matic transmission. Every component, down to the gold Batwing air cleaner, is beautifully detailed and has the correct markings, paint, and decals. New for that year was Cadillacs X-frame construction, which brought increased structural rigidity which helped to make the Eldorados ride even more sublime. Four Saber-style wheels, shod in correct whitewall width radial tires, add an aggressive stance and are complemented by an identical spare in the trunk. Moreover, the glass on the car, from the rear windshield to the side vent windows, is new and free of any imperfections. The quality of the restoration of this 1957 Cadillac Eldorado is very impressive. The way the car presents itself completely removes the fact that this car is close to sixty years old.
